Description
This coffee is produced by ASOPROAAA and certainly embodies the ideals of conservation and recovery in their environment. Founded in 1998, ASOPROAAA’s main goal was to organize and help Costa Rica’s infrastructure, agriculture and economy thrive. ASOPROAAA is made up of 1,142 families, 200 of which are involved with coffee and agroforestry. The cooperative provides milling and processing services to farmers, many do not have facilities of their own. ASOPROAAA helps them to focus on sustainable farming and promoting biodiversity. This particular cup comes from farmers in the Tarrazu Canton (a small political division within a country) of San Jose, and provides floral notes with some nicely balanced acidity.
